Serves as the department head responsible for the administration, management, and evaluation of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) at UC San Diego. The OSD is responsible for determining and facilitating reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities across campus colleges, divisions, and programs. The Director also works through student accommodation appeals, policy development, and supervises the OSD professional staff.
Meets with students with disabilities who have been approved for accommodations and need to obtain alternative formats, adaptive technologies, and note-taking. Responsible for exam administration in the OSD and provides direct supervision of undergraduate student staff.
Meets with students with disabilities and their families, providing disability management counseling for a caseload of students with disabilities from the following undergraduate colleges: Muir, Revelle, and Marshall.

Serves as an assistant to the Director, providing a pivotal role in fiscal, payroll, and administrative support and scheduling. Also maintains the policies and procedures related to the academic, service, and compliance roles of the OSD.
Provides captioning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing enrolled in UC San Diego classes.
Provides captioning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing enrolled in UC San Diego classes. Also, assists in scheduling interpreters and captionists for University programs and activities.
