OSD Spring 2017 Newsletter
Happy Spring!  We hope that the quarter is off to a great start for you.  We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of a few things:

The ADHD Support Group will start on Tuesday, May 2, 12 pm – 1 pm in the OSD Conference Room.  You must contact Ginger Armas at CAPS before the first meeting.  Ginger can be reached at 858.534.3755 or garmas@ucsd.edu
One of your fellow students is forming a student organization, the Chronic Illness and Disability Alliance for Support and Advocacy (CIDASA).  Please read the following from the organization’s founder:

CIDASA- The Chronic Illness and Disability Alliance for Support and Advocacy- is a new club here at UCSD. Our goal is to cultivate a sense of community, positivity and purpose on campus regarding the phenomenon we call “disability.” Our hope is to be a social group for all students as well as an advocacy group which will create awareness and promote equality and opportunity at and beyond UCSD. We hope to be a registered student org by next Fall, but this quarter we will be undergoing an important stage of our development. We will be holding weekly meetings in order to get to know each other and establish a sense of community. We will also be brainstorming different aspects of the club in order to solidify our communal sense of identity and purpose. Location and dates for these meetings will be available soon. Please consider joining us! Share your voice and contribute to our community in a way that only you can! For more information, like and follow @cidasaatucsd on campus or contact me, Grace Ferber, at gferber@ucsd.edu. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you soon!

If this is your last quarter at UC San Diego, please check in with your college to make certain you are on track to graduate and have completed all necessary classes, requirements, and forms.

For those of you enrolling in Study Abroad programs for the Summer or Fall and/or Summer Session at UC San Diego, please schedule appointments with Disability Specialists early

If you did not participate in the Interest List for housing and need options, plan to attend the off campus housing fair on Monday, May 8 from 1 pm – 3pm in the Price Center East Ballroom.  More information on the event and off-campus housing options may be found here: https://ucsd.offcampuspartners.com/
